Delicate Grasses

Delicate grasses on the slopes beside Lake Hayes. The walk which circumnavigates Lake Hayes in New Zealand is one of my favourite relaxed walks. On my last visit I found a beautiful cottage on a small hill by the lake, which I painted. I didn't notice the grasses and wildflowers where I was sitting to capture the cottage as a photo and sketch until after I checked the photo of the scene, and decided they were just as beautiful in a different way. Also had to be painted!
