The beauty of little Bourton-on-the-Water never ceases to amaze and inspire. The river Windrush certainly doesn't rush, but rather trickles through the village, overhung with graceful trees and stone bridges. This was the first Cotswold village I visited so many years ago on holiday, and it has become an essential destination to either stay in or simply pop by for morning tea.
