January 2025

I know it’s halfway through February but I will still give a January update. The year started off with the acquisition of a new studio dog in the form of a Pomchi puppy. She is extremely busy doing “puppy” and doesn’t yet understand (or care) about her job in my studio. Consequently I am not getting as much painting done as I would like!

On the study front, I have received notification that I’ve passed my MA Fine Art so we will have a short trip to Cornwall in July to graduate. I’m so proud I didn’t quit but it was an extremely difficult two years to achieve this. Deciding to emigrate and join our UK family, selling an Australian home, purchasing one in the UK (that needs a lot of renovation), starting the renovating and finding muscles we forgot we had, taking on an MA, travelling back to Australia twice for two offsprings’ weddings, burying one dog and getting another….so many of these things shouldn’t have been done at once but hey, life is unpredictable.

My online sales have already taken off this month so I’m in the studio full time creating new artwork for 2025 events. If you would like to pop around for a studio visit and a cuppa/glass of bubbles…depending on the hour…please email to arrange a time.

Also please check my emails aren’t disappearing in your spam or junk mail. I’d hate you to miss out on some crucial news. Two subscribers last year missed out on their free print when their names were drawn in the monthly draw.

That’s it for now. To keep a closer eye on what I’m up to, follow me on Instagram or LinkedIn @heatherphilpartist, or check my videos on my youtube channel, Heather Philp Artist.
