Artist Statement

As an impressionist artist, I am captivated by light and colour, exploring their potential through the expressive strokes of a palette knife. Working primarily with oils, my compositions focus on capturing the essence of portals—doors, windows, and other thresholds that embody both the tangible and the intangible.

My art invites viewers into a dialogue with the unknown. Each door I paint evokes curiosity, wonder, and introspection, enticing the viewer to contemplate what lies beyond. These portals are more than architectural elements; they symbolize life's choices and opportunities—the pivotal moments where we decide which doors to open and which to leave closed.

Through evocative compositions, I seek to illuminate the universal truth that the doors we choose to open shape our journeys, offering pathways to growth, transformation, and discovery. My work aspires to spark the imagination, encouraging viewers to step closer, reflect on their own thresholds, and embrace the profound significance of choice.

“I am just in love with your work and especially with your capture of the doors.”
